There are 03 major intakes in New Zealand and these are February, July and November. Diplomas are considered as 05 & 06 level courses: Bachelors degree, Graduation Certificates and diplomas are 07 level courses; Postgraduate certificates and diplomas and Bachelor’s degrees with honors are level 08 courses while Master’s degrees are level 09 courses. IELTS is not mandatory in few institutes and minimum requirement to be eligible for an application is 5.5 bands with NO bands less than 5.0 bands.

Visa process for international students

New Zealand offers a Funds Transfer Scheme (FTS) that allows students to transfer money from banks and financial institutions overseas to an ANZ bank account in New Zealand. These funds are released periodically to support students while they are in New Zealand. Student has to fulfill minimum fund requirement to cover living cost and then applying for a visa. FTS is to help facilitate the processing student visa application from Indian students who want to go to New Zealand to study more than 12 months. The amount is available once student reaches New Zealand.
